According to FINRA BrokerCheck, Julio Alberto Martinez was discharged from Union Capital Group (UCAP Securities) on March 13th, 2023 due to allegations that his registered assistant had emailed confidential client information to her personal email account.
Union Capital Group (UCAP Securities) determined that the assistant also sent confidential client information to Martinez’s personal email. She also allegedly sent a client list to her email address at an unaffiliated broker-dealer. He allegedly joined the other firm immediately after the firm terminated his employment.
Martinez has two additional customer complaint disclosures. One customer alleged that Martinez purchased mutual funds without his consent. A second customer alleged that Martinez purchased unsuitable funds for her account without her authorization, and the complaint was settled for $3,702.15.
