SEC Files Lawsuit Against Broad Street Global

On January 29, 2025, the SEC filed a lawsuit against Broad Street Global, a South Carolina-based private equity fund, along with its affiliate Broad Street Inc. (BSI), and executives Steven Baldassarra, Joseph Baldassarra, and David Feingold. The federal lawsuit, lodged in Florida, alleges these entities and individuals were involved in deceptive schemes and made materially false statements to raise significant amounts from investors. The SEC’s action seeks an asset freeze, injunctions, and the appointment of a receiver to prevent further investor harm.

Allegations of Misconduct by Broad Street Global

According to the SEC, Broad Street Global misrepresented the nature of investments in various sectors including merchant cash advances, real estate infrastructure, hotels, and more. The firm allegedly promised high yields and tax benefits that were not achievable, leading to substantial investor losses. Moreover, it is alleged that the firm commingled funds and failed to maintain the promised separateness of assets and liabilities across different investment offerings.

Investors who suffered losses in Broad Street Global or Broad Street Inc., are encouraged to contact attorney Steven D. Toskes at (888) 997-9956 or by email at investigations@klaymantoskes.com to discuss potential recovery options.
