According to FINRA BrokerCheck, Kevin Cougle is currently facing allegations of unauthorized trading in two of an investor’s accounts, with the investor seeking $126,000 in damages.

Kevin Cougle, who formerly worked as a broker with Cadaret, Grant & Co., is currently facing allegations of making trades in an investor’s accounts without permission. The investor claims that Cougle made trades in two of her accounts without her approval and is seeking $126,000 in damages.
FINRA Rule 3260 states that brokers can only make trades in accounts that have been approved for such activity by both the client and the firm. Making trades in accounts that are not approved is against this rule. Also, FINRA Rule 2010 requires brokers to follow high standards of honesty and fairness in their work.
This is reportedly the sixth time an investor has had a dispute with Cougle. The previous five disputes were settled for a total of $232,802.68. Over his 21-year career, Cougle has worked with 11 different firms. Some of the most recent firms he worked with are Cadaret, Grant & Co., Pruco Securities, AllState Financial Services, and Lincoln Financial Distributors.
