Cannon has been permanently barred by FINRA in connection with findings that he refused to appear for on-the-record testimony requested by the regulator, related to its investigation of transactions in his personal bank accounts that were referenced in a Form U5 filed for him by his member firm.

Cannon was permitted to resign from Northwestern Mutual Investment Services in August 2024 while he was under internal review for a series of questionable transactions associated with both his personal bank accounts and client investment accounts. In March 2025, Cannon was permanently barred from acting as a broker by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”). Cannon allegedly refused to appear for on-the-record testimony in response to a FINRA Rule 8210 request on January 24, 2025. Therefore, Cannon violated FINRA Rules 8210 and 2010, and has been barred in all capacities.
