National investment loss lawyers KlaymanToskes is investigating broker Cynthia Beyerlein (CRD# 4320421) of Ameriprise Financial Services and Kingswood Capital Partners, who has been suspended from acting as a broker by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”), following allegations that she borrowed approximately $190,000 from a member firm customer without providing prior written notice to, or obtaining written approval from, the firm.

FINRA found that in 2021, Beyerlein borrowed approximately $190,000 from an Ameriprise customer through multiple loans. None of the loans met any of the conditions set forth in the firm’s Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs), or complied with any of the conditions set forth in FINRA Rule 3240. The customer was reportedly not an immediate family member of Beyerlein or in the business of lending money. Beyerlein allegedly used the funds to pay for personal expenses and did not discuss payment terms for the loans or memorialize the loans in writing. The balance of the loans is reportedly still outstanding.

According to FINRA BrokerCheck, broker Cynthia Beyerlein was previously registered with Ameriprise Financial Services from April 2014 to March 2023, when she was terminated from the firm for violation of company policies related to accepting a loan from two (2) clients, failing to disclose an outside business activity and failing to cooperate with an internal review.

Klayman, Esq., at 888-997-9956 or by email at lawrence@klaymantoskes.com to discuss recovery options. We do not collect attorney’s fees unless we are able to obtain a financial recovery for you.
