Christopher Arnella, who works for Morgan Stanley in New York, NY, has settled a complaint from an investor and has been suspended by FINRA. The complaint was regarding unsuitable investment recommendations and was settled in favor of the investor for $2,500,000. FINRA found that Arnella publicly posted his opinion about what he expected the future stock price of the company to be by the end of 2018. He also allegedly stated, in writing, to two firm customers that there was a “100 percent” chance that the company’s loss in a patent litigation trial would be overturned.
