National investment loss lawyers KlaymanToskes reports broker/investment advisor Brad Wastler (CRD# 868378) has been suspended from acting as a broker or associating with a broker-dealer firm by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”). FINRA’s decision comes after Wastler allegedly forged or falsified at least 99 customer signatures on 159 account documents and forged the electronic signature of his business partner.

According to FINRA BrokerCheck, Bradley Thomas Wastler was previously registered as a broker with LPL Financial from 2018 to 2021 in St. Louis, MO. Collins was also previously registered with Invest Financial Corporation from 2007 to 2018 in St. Louis, MO.

Investors that suffered losses with Brad Wastler may be entitled to a financial recovery. Contact Lawrence L. Klayman, Esq. at (888) 997-9956 or lawrence@klaymantoskes.com to discuss your recovery options. We do not collect attorney’s fees unless we are able to obtain a financial recovery for you.

Brad Wastler Suspended and Fined by FINRA:

On August 3rd, 2023, FINRA’s Department of Enforcement entered into a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent (“AWC”) with Bradley Thomas Wastler, disclosing that Wastler consented to sanctions of a ten-month suspension from associating with any FINRA member in all capacities and a $7,500 fine.

According to the AWC, the matter originated from a regulatory tip received by FINRA. FINRA found that LPL filed a Form U5 on October 8, 2021, terminating Wastler from the firm. LPL’s U5 filing stated that Wastler had been terminated for “[d]uring an ongoing pandemic, . . . electronically sign[ing] account documents on behalf of customers with their consent, in violation of Firm Document Signature Policy.”

FINRA’s investigation found that from March 13, 2020 through March 1, 2021, “Wastler electronically signed the names of at least 99 customers on a total of 159 account documents, at least 9 of whose names were signed on 18 documents without the customers’ permission.” Wastler also allegedly signed the name of his business partner on 57 account documents, at least some of which were without his business partner’s permission.

Brad Wastler’s Unauthorized Client Signatures:

According to the AWC, in a September 2020 compliance questionnaire, Wastler falsely attested that he had not signed another person’s signature on any document. By forging and/or falsifying the signatures of firm customers and registered representatives, Wastler violated FINRA Rule 2010 (Standards of Honor and Principles of Trade). In addition, by causing his firm, LPL Financial, to maintain inaccurate books and records, Wastler violated FINRA Rule 4511 (General Requirements) and 2010.

Klayman, Esq., to discuss your legal options at 888-997-9956 or by email at lawrence@klaymantoskes.com. We do not collect attorney’s fees unless we are able to obtain a financial recovery for you.
