Former Crown Capital Advisor Lanny Howarter Faces Investor Complaint

According to FINRA BrokerCheck, former Crown Capital Securities broker Lanny Howarter is involved in a customer complaint alleging $325,000 in damages, in connection with breach of fiduciary duty, lack of suitability, impermissible overconcentration and misrepresentation & omission of material information in the sale of an alternative investment.

A previous customer complaint filed in November 2021 resulted in a $65,000 settlement in favor of the investor, while another previous complaint filed in September 2021 resulted in a $89,900 settlement. Additionally, two more customer complaints filed in April 2021 resulted in a $330,000 settlement and a $112,500 settlement in favor of the customers. According to FINRA Brokercheck, Lanny Howarter was registered as a broker with Crown Capital Securities from 2009 to May 2024 in El Cajon, CA.
