Mary Beslagic of Edward Jones Suspended by FINRA

Mary Beslagic served as a representative at Edward Jones in Manchester, Washington from August 2011 to August 2023. FINRA’s investigation determined that two customers had secured a $220,000 home equity loan intended for home remodeling. Beslagic directed these customers to invest their home equity loan proceeds in mutual funds. The mutual fund investments lost value, leading the customers to sell their positions at a loss. The customers then obtained margin loans to meet short-term liquidity needs. FINRA’s established position since 2004 states that using home equity for investment purposes is unsuitable for most investors.
