National investment loss lawyers KlaymanToskes is investigating broker Ravid Gold (CRD# 6314469) of Actinver Securities, Inc., who has been suspended from acting as a broker by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”), following allegations that he circumvented the firm’s policies regarding cross trades, specifically the requirement to obtain prior written customer consent.
FINRA’s investigation found that Actinver’s Written Supervisory Procedures (“WSPs”) required its registered representatives to obtain written consent from the firm’s customers before engaging in cross transactions between the firm’s customers. In order to circumvent the WSPs but still accomplish the cross trades, Gold allegedly engaged in 30 prearranged sets of corporate bond sales and buybacks with a counterparty, and then sold the repurchased bonds to his customers. Gold violated FINRA Rule 2010 by circumventing the firm’s WSPs.
According to FINRA BrokerCheck, broker Ravid Gold was previously registered with Actinver Securities, Inc. from 2018 to 2022, and with Blaylock Van, LLC from 2020 to 2021. Gold was also previously registered as a broker with Avalon Wealth Management from 2021 to 2023 in Houston, TX.
