According to FINRA BrokerCheck, Hong Anh Mcgill was discharged from Truist Investment Services on March 6th, 2023 due to allegations that he violated Truist’s policy and procedures requiring client confirmation before funds are transferred to third parties.
Hong Mcgill was previously hit with three customer complaints. The most recent complaint alleged he made a poor recommendation of a short term bond product, and was settled for $25,117.78. McGill’s second settled complaint alleged a breach of fiduciary duty and failure to inform his customer that the bonds purchased had been downgraded. A final complaint, denied by the firm, alleged misrepresented fixed income investments.
