Who is Lawrence L. Klayman?
Lawrence L. Klayman (born in Brooklyn, New York) is an American attorney, managing and founding partner of the securities law firm KlaymanToskes PLLC, and a second-generation lawyer. A former securities broker and financial advisor, he has spent decades representing high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth investors, broker-dealers, institutions, and family offices throughout the United States and internationally.
Klayman received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University and his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University. He has recovered over $250 million for aggrieved investors through arbitrations and litigation before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), AAA, JAMS, and state and federal court. He is a respected member of The Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.
Prior to founding KlaymanToskes, Mr. Klayman worked for a major securities arbitration defense firm and also received firsthand experience at the National Association of Securities Dealers (“NASD”), the predecessor of FINRA, in the arbitration department. He attributes his success to his experience of representing clients on both sides of the securities industry, in addition to his previous role as a financial advisor, which commands Wall Street’s earnest attention during negotiation proceedings.

Mr. Klayman has appeared as an expert witness, providing expert testimony and analysis regarding registered representative sales practices, and has guest lectured on numerous occasions at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center.
